Tottenham have once again been encouraged to make a move for West Ham star Jarrod Bowen.
The England international has been repeatedly linked with Spurs over the years after establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers at the London Stadium.
Interest has resurfaced this season, with Thomas Frank known to be a long-time admirer of Bowen, having faced the winger numerous times during his managerial career. Bowen has also spoken positively about Frank in the past, comments that could fuel speculation about a potential move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
With uncertainty surrounding West Ham’s future, Spurs could now be in a strong position to finally pounce on a deal for Bowen.
Spurs urged to move for Bowen
Calls for Tottenham to sign Bowen have been ongoing for months, even years, yet a transfer has never come to fruition. It remains unclear why the England forward has stayed put, especially given West Ham’s struggles in recent seasons.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are currently embroiled in a relegation fight and face the real threat of dropping into the bottom three. As club captain, Bowen may be tempted to seek a move away if the situation worsens.
Former scout Bryan King believes Bowen should be Tottenham’s top target as they look to strengthen their attack. Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said:
“I wouldn’t be interested in Paquetá — I think he causes problems.
If I was looking at anyone from West Ham, it would be Jarrod Bowen. He’d suit Tottenham very well.
They might ask for around £65m, but you’d be getting a top-quality player. I actually think he’d be a better fit for Spurs than Dominic Solanke or Richarlison, and he’d cost around half of what they cost.
West Ham fans wouldn’t like it because he’s a favourite, but if they go down, he won’t stay. Even in a struggling team, he’s performing and always looks dangerous. If Tottenham want a forward, Bowen should be the one they go for.”
Bowen over Paquetá?
Tottenham have also been linked with Lucas Paquetá in recent days, with the Brazilian expected to leave West Ham imminently. Spurs, Flamengo and Serie A clubs have all been mentioned as possible destinations, though a move to Italy now appears most likely.
However, Paquetá’s potential departure could actually work in Spurs’ favour. If West Ham are willing to sell one of their key players, it suggests owner David Sullivan is open to negotiations — creating an ideal window for Tottenham to submit a bid for Bowen.
Spurs may now have the perfect opportunity to act.
