🚨 Liverpool receive Tottenham offer for Cody Gakpo

Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo’s future at Anfield is reportedly uncertain, with Tottenham Hotspur making an offer for the Netherlands international. Liverpool have not yet given Spurs a response, as the Reds are still focused on strengthening their attacking options before deciding whether to let Gakpo leave.

Gakpo, 27, has reportedly been in contact with Tottenham and is open to a move to North London. Tottenham see him as an important potential addition to their attack, while Liverpool are weighing up whether selling him would be the right decision for the squad.

The situation is closely linked to Liverpool’s search for new wingers. The Reds are reportedly looking at players including Bradley Barcola, Ibrahim Mbaye and Yankuba Minteh, with the club wanting more direct wingers capable of taking on defenders one-on-one. Mohamed Salah’s departure has also increased Liverpool’s need for attacking reinforcements.

Liverpool are therefore not necessarily against selling Gakpo, but they appear unwilling to do so until suitable replacements are brought in. The club have already signed Victor Muñoz from Osasuna and are reportedly looking to add two more wingers before the transfer window closes.

This is consistent with other reports suggesting Tottenham’s pursuit of Gakpo is dependent on Liverpool strengthening their own attack. Reports have linked the situation particularly with Liverpool’s negotiations for PSG winger Bradley Barcola.

In simple terms:

Tottenham have reportedly made an offer for Gakpo.
Gakpo is reportedly open to joining Spurs.
Liverpool have not yet given the green light.
Liverpool want to sign attacking replacements first.
Barcola, Mbaye and Minteh are among the names linked with Liverpool.
Gakpo’s future will likely depend on whether Liverpool can strengthen their winger options before the window closes.

Important: The NestDish article says Tottenham made an offer, but it does not state the exact amount of the offer. Other reports have previously claimed Spurs made a £60m+ proposal, although that figure has been disputed.
