Tottenham Hotspur supporters have urged the club to dismiss head coach Thomas Frank after a heavy 3-0 Premier League loss to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Forest broke the deadlock in the 28th minute when Archie Gray was caught in possession near his own box after a short pass from goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. Ibrahim Sangaré pounced on the loose ball and played it across to Callum Hudson-Odoi, who finished from close range.
The same duo combined again shortly after the restart, before Sangaré capped the performance with a stunning 25-yard effort in the 79th minute, following another assist from Hudson-Odoi, to wrap up a convincing win for Sean Dyche’s side.
The defeat leaves Spurs in 11th place in the Premier League and increased the scrutiny on Frank, with Tottenham having managed just one win in their last seven league outings. It was a dismal afternoon for the visitors, who registered only one shot on target.
Supporters have also questioned Frank’s tactical approach, particularly after last month’s damaging 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the north London derby. While Spurs sit 11th in their Champions League group with three wins and two draws from six matches, they now occupy the same position domestically.
Frustration was evident on social media following the Forest loss. One fan wrote: “Sack Frank at full-time. The players look completely uninterested and haven’t bought into his ideas.” Another added: “He’s turned us into Brentford. He needs to go.” A third claimed the board must act, arguing Frank has failed to make the team more organised or improve on last season.
Speculation over a possible replacement has already begun. According to Oddschecker, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is the 5/1 favourite with BetVictor to take over if Frank is dismissed. The Austrian’s contract at Selhurst Park expires this summer, and he has previously been linked with both Manchester United and Liverpool.
However, Liverpool have rarely changed managers historically despite recent pressure on Arne Slot, while Manchester United’s performances have generally improved under Ruben Amorim. Fulham’s Marco Silva and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola are both priced at 8/1, with Marseille’s Roberto De Zerbi and former Spurs midfielder Michael Carrick listed at 12/1. All but Carrick have prior Premier League managerial experience.
Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna, once mentioned as a potential candidate, is now considered an outside option at 25/1.
