This is the Tottenham lineup we expect Thomas Frank to name for Saturday’s crucial Premier League London derby against West Ham United.
Frank faces several key selection decisions as Spurs welcome the Hammers to north London, with both sides desperate for points. West Ham travel to N17 as the lowest-placed London club in the division, sitting in the relegation zone with just 14 points and only three league wins so far.
Tottenham, however, have struggled too—currently 14th and having managed only two victories in their last 13 matches—making a strong home performance essential after their poor Premier League record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs could hand a debut to new signing Conor Gallagher following his £34.7m move from Atletico Madrid. The 25-year-old offers versatility, capable of playing as a number eight or an energetic number ten, and has featured regularly enough in recent weeks to be ready for an immediate start. His intensity could be vital in lifting both the team and the crowd, especially as he is unavailable for the midweek clash with Borussia Dortmund and will need minutes here.
Gallagher’s arrival comes at a good time, with Rodrigo Bentancur sidelined for three months after hamstring surgery. Joao Palhinha has been absent from recent training footage, sparking concerns he may be carrying a minor injury and could be preserved for the Dortmund match.
If so, Archie Gray may continue in midfield alongside Gallagher, while Lucas Bergvall—back in training after injury—should also be involved at some point.
Up front, Frank’s options are limited due to injuries, meaning the attacking trio that featured in the second half against Aston Villa are likely to start again. Dominic Solanke is expected to have a greater impact from the bench as he continues to build fitness.
At left-back, Ben Davies or Djed Spence could deputise until Destiny Udogie is ready to return to the starting lineup, potentially against Dortmund. Davies would offer natural width, while Spence brings pace and directness.
Based on all that, this is the team we think Frank will select to face West Ham.
