Mikey Moore returned to Tottenham after spending last season on loan at Rangers, but Spurs are now preparing to send the 19-year-old out on another temporary spell to aid his development.
German side FC Köln have been pushing to sign Moore, with reports on August 3 suggesting the England U21 international had already chosen a move to Germany despite interest from several other clubs.

However, the move has yet to be completed, with Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi currently holding up the transfer. The Italian wants Spurs to bring in another attacker before allowing Moore to leave on loan.
Köln sporting director Thomas Kessler recently suggested that Moore’s arrival depends directly on Tottenham strengthening their attacking options.
Moore was then handed a start by De Zerbi in Tottenham’s 3-0 defeat to Brentford. Following the match, the manager criticised the youngster’s performance, particularly his contribution during pressing and physical duels.
German outlet Bild has now provided an update, confirming that an agreement between Tottenham, Köln and Moore has already been reached for the loan transfer.
The Bundesliga club are simply waiting for De Zerbi to give the final approval.
Reports suggest Tottenham are closing in on attacking reinforcements, including Manchester City winger Savinho and Omar Marmoush. Savinho’s potential arrival could be particularly important, given that he operates primarily on the right wing.
With Tottenham seemingly close to adding another attacker, Köln are increasingly confident that Moore’s loan move will eventually be completed. The only uncertainty is when the deal will officially go through.
Tottenham are due to face Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup on Wednesday before hosting Newcastle United in the Premier League at the weekend. It remains unclear whether Moore will feature in either match before completing his move to Germany.
