Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a possible boost in their bid to sign Manchester City attacker Omar Marmoush before the transfer window shuts. Spurs are one of several clubs monitoring the Egyptian forward, who has struggled for consistent minutes at the Etihad this season.
He did, however, start City’s Premier League clash against Wolves after returning from AFCON. The arrival of Antoine Semenyo in January has further increased competition, fuelling doubts over Marmoush’s long-term future.
Spurs, Aston Villa and Fenerbahce have all been credited with interest in recent weeks. But reports from Turkish outlet Sabah suggest Marmoush would favour staying in the Premier League. With Villa closing in on a deal for Tammy Abraham, Tottenham could now have a clear run, although Fenerbahce remain keen and are weighing up a €30m (£26m) bid.
As Spurs hunt for attacking reinforcements following injuries to Dominic Solanke and Richarlison, there could also be movement at the back.
Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, via Milan News, claims AC Milan sporting director Igli Tare has opened talks with Tottenham over a January move for Radu Dragusin. The 23-year-old has made just two substitute appearances since returning from a cruciate ligament injury in December. Milan are pushing for a loan deal with an option to buy, but Spurs are demanding an obligation to purchase.
Tottenham are said to want the obligation triggered by achievable conditions, while Milan would prefer the flexibility of deciding after the loan spell ends. Whether a compromise can be reached remains unclear, with West Ham also reportedly tracking the centre-back as the deadline approaches.
