🚨 HUGE Bradley Barcola to Liverpool update drops from France this morning

According to L’Équipe journalist Loïc Tanzi, France international Bradley Barcola is “expected to become the biggest transfer of a Ligue 1 player to a foreign club.”

Liverpool are believed to be targeting at least two attacking reinforcements this summer, with the 23-year-old among their priorities. The Reds could even make a third attacking addition before the window closes.

The long-running Barcola saga finally appears to be approaching its conclusion. PSG, however, are still standing firm on their €140 million (£119.7m) valuation. That figure represents a significant reduction from the €170m (£145.3m) valuation previously reported during negotiations.

PSG’s latest asking price is now much closer to the fees Liverpool have already seen Manchester City and Chelsea pay for Elliot Anderson (£116m) and Morgan Rogers (£117m), respectively.

Barcola and his representatives are reportedly growing increasingly confident that a deal will be completed with Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool side, bringing an end to a saga that has dragged on for some time.

With just seven days remaining in the transfer window, Liverpool are under serious pressure to complete their business. The club appear to be nearing an agreement with PSG for Barcola, while recent reports also suggest a third bid for Yankuba Minteh could be enough to secure his signature.

That leaves Richard Hughes and his recruitment team with the task of potentially bringing in another player, most likely a centre-forward, to give Iraola a stronger attacking group for the 2026/27 campaign.

Even then, concerns remain in central midfield and at right-back. Iraola reportedly believes he can solve the midfield problem with the players already available, but the situation at right-back looks more difficult, with Jeremie Frimpong currently the only senior option.

Whatever happens, Liverpool could still find themselves short in several areas, particularly during the opening half of the 2026/27 season.
