Liverpool Turn Down Tottenham’s £69m Offer for Cody Gakpo
Liverpool have reportedly rejected a £69 million bid from Tottenham for Cody Gakpo, with the Reds believed to value the forward at around £75–80 million.
Tottenham are said to be keen on signing the Netherlands international, with manager Roberto De Zerbi viewing Gakpo as an important attacking target. His ability to operate in multiple positions across the front line makes him an appealing option for Spurs.
Liverpool’s decision to reject the offer is understood to be linked to their own plans in attack. The Reds are reportedly unwilling to sanction Gakpo’s departure unless they can secure suitable replacements on the wing.
With the transfer window nearing its deadline, Tottenham must now decide whether to increase their offer and meet Liverpool’s £75–80 million valuation or end their pursuit of the forward.
