Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly viewing the upcoming international break as the ideal time to dismiss Igor Tudor as pressure on the manager continues to grow, according to sources.
The heavy 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest has left Tudor’s position in serious doubt, despite recent optimism following a draw against Liverpool FC and a victory over Atlético Madrid. That defeat has seen Spurs slip to 17th place in the Premier League, dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Sources indicate that losing such a crucial match against Forest could force the club to act, even though the original plan was for Tudor to remain in charge until the end of the season. With only one point now separating them from West Ham United in the bottom three, the pressure has intensified.
Tudor’s difficult spell in charge—recording just one win in seven matches while conceding 20 goals—could come to an early end during the international break, giving the club time to search for a replacement. The manager is currently being judged on a game-by-game basis, and fan dissatisfaction is adding to the mounting tension.
If a change is made, several potential successors have already been mentioned, including former Spurs bosses Harry Redknapp and Glenn Hoddle. Meanwhile, ex-Everton FC chief executive Keith Wyness believes that Roberto De Zerbi is the leading candidate due to his Premier League experience, although any move could depend on whether the club secures its top-flight status.
