Predicted Tottenham XI to face Forest — De Zerbi shakes up his attack as calls loom on Savio and Kudus

Roberto De Zerbi walks into Saturday’s clash with Nottingham Forest with a selection headache he’d happily take — plenty of fit, in-form bodies to choose from for the first time this season.

Tottenham’s transfer window closed on a flurry of activity, with Mykhailo Mudryk arriving on loan and Tosin Adarabioyo signing permanently, both from Chelsea, taking De Zerbi’s summer intake to ten new faces. Mudryk, back this summer after nearly two years out following a doping suspension, is said to have enough sharpness for a late cameo of 15-20 minutes.

Savio is also back in the frame after impressing off the bench against Charlton in the Carabao Cup, where he scored and set up a goal, having sat out the Newcastle defeat with muscle fatigue. Mohammed Kudus got similar minutes in that game — his first appearance since January — while Savio arrives with a fuller pre-season under his belt.

Up front, De Zerbi has to pick between Omar Marmoush, Dominic Solanke and Mathys Tel, with Richarlison now out of Premier League contention after missing the cut for Tottenham’s registered squad. At left-back, Destiny Udogie’s return to fitness gives the manager a genuine choice over Andy Robertson. James Maddison, meanwhile, has only just resumed training following his shoulder problem and isn’t expected to feature.

Here’s the Tottenham XI we expect De Zerbi to name against Oliver Glasner’s Forest:
