TOTTENHAM OUTCAST EDGING CLOSER TO SAUDI PRO LEAGUE MOVE

Tottenham Outcast Edging Closer to Saudi Pro League Move

Richarlison appears increasingly likely to leave Tottenham for the Saudi Pro League after falling out of favour under manager Roberto De Zerbi.

The Brazilian forward began the season in Tottenham’s opening Premier League match against Brentford, but he has since been excluded from the club’s league squad. As a result, he is unlikely to feature for Spurs again before January at the earliest.

Richarlison had hoped to secure a move elsewhere before the transfer window closed, with Everton and Turkish side Trabzonspor both emerging as possible destinations. However, neither deal was completed, leaving Saudi Arabia as his most realistic opportunity to continue playing regularly.

Unlike most European leagues, the Saudi Pro League’s transfer window remains open until October 12, giving Tottenham and Richarlison additional time to find a solution.

The situation is particularly frustrating for the striker because he enjoyed a productive campaign last season, scoring 11 goals in 32 league appearances.

His proposed return to Everton collapsed after the two sides failed to reach an agreement over financial terms, while Trabzonspor were unable to finalise a deal before Friday’s deadline.

Relations between Richarlison and De Zerbi also appear to have become increasingly strained. The forward recently shared a pointed message on social media, suggesting that he would no longer allow other people to dictate the direction of his career.

Tottenham are reportedly prepared to lower their demands for the 29-year-old in an effort to secure a transfer. With Richarlison seemingly no longer part of De Zerbi’s plans, the club could be willing to accept a reduced fee from a Saudi side.

The uncertainty surrounding Richarlison comes at a difficult time for Tottenham, with De Zerbi already under pressure following a poor start to the Premier League campaign.

Spurs failed to score in their opening three league matches and only picked up their first point after a goalless draw against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Supporters have become increasingly frustrated after the club invested heavily during the summer.

Despite the growing pressure, Tottenham reportedly have no immediate intention of dismissing De Zerbi. The club is expected to remain patient and give him more time to work with the squad he rebuilt during the summer.

For Richarlison, however, a move to Saudi Arabia could now provide the quickest route back to regular first-team football rather than spending several months on the sidelines.
