Liverpool could be heading for another major summer overhaul under new head coach Andoni Iraola, with reports suggesting the Spaniard is not completely satisfied with certain areas of his squad.
Iraola arrived at Anfield determined to build a team in his own image, despite Liverpool already making significant changes this summer. The former Bournemouth boss knows there is still plenty of work to be done, especially after the Reds’ inconsistent pre-season performances.
Liverpool recently suffered a frustrating 3-2 defeat to Monaco after surrendering a two-goal lead, following a similar collapse against Leeds United. Iraola admitted afterwards that his side must raise their intensity and improve their consistency before the Premier League campaign gets underway.
That has naturally led to questions over which players will remain central to Iraola’s plans.

The Georgian goalkeeper joined Liverpool from Valencia but has found opportunities limited behind Alisson Becker. With Iraola now evaluating his squad, Liverpool could potentially make a decision on their goalkeeping options.
Jeremie Frimpong
Jeremie Frimpong is another player whose position could be affected by Iraola’s tactical plans.
The Dutchman arrived with a strong reputation and provides plenty of attacking threat from the right flank. However, Iraola’s preferred system could determine whether Frimpong remains an automatic starter.
