Manor Solomon has swiftly secured a new destination for the rest of the 2025–26 season, completing a loan switch to Fiorentina.
The winger had earlier been sent out on loan to Villarreal, but found opportunities hard to come by during his spell in La Liga. That situation sparked links with Leeds United, who were reportedly keen on a dramatic reunion after Solomon played a key role in their promotion campaign in 2024–25.
Instead, Tottenham recalled the Israeli international and immediately sanctioned another loan move, this time to Serie A side Fiorentina. The deal was confirmed on 2 January and will run until the end of the season.
Solomon faces a tough challenge in Italy, with Fiorentina currently sitting in the relegation zone after managing just two league wins so far. However, he made a positive start, coming off the bench to help secure a vital 1–0 victory over Cremonese on his debut.
After completing the move, Solomon confirmed the transfer on Instagram, prompting several reactions — including one from Spurs teammate Destiny Udogie, who replied: “Yesss Fratello,” accompanied by a fire emoji 🔥.
Tottenham’s potential January business
Solomon’s exit adds to what has already been a busy January for Spurs. Brennan Johnson has completed a permanent move to Crystal Palace, while highly rated youngster Mason Melia has officially joined the club following a pre-agreed deal.
Tottenham may not be finished yet. The North London side are still being linked with Manchester City winger Savinho, a player they tracked closely over the summer. With Pep Guardiola expected to sanction the winger’s departure this month, a move could suit all parties.
Still, it remains unclear how active Thomas Frank will be before the window closes, though Spurs are widely expected to strengthen after a difficult run of form in recent weeks.
