Igor Tudor departs Spurs as two leading candidates emerge as favourites to take over

Igor Tudor has parted ways with Tottenham Hotspur by mutual consent after just seven matches in charge, the club has confirmed.

The Croatian coach, appointed last month to replace Thomas Frank, managed only one point from five Premier League games and was also in charge during Spurs’ 7-5 aggregate defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of 16, despite winning the second leg 3-2 at home.

His final match was a 3-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest last Sunday, leaving Tottenham hovering just one point above the relegation zone. The club also confirmed that goalkeeping coach Tomislav Rogic and fitness coach Riccardo Ragnacci have left alongside him. Spurs thanked the trio for their hard work and expressed support to Tudor following a recent personal bereavement.

Attention has now turned to potential replacements, with Sean Dyche and Roberto De Zerbi currently leading the betting odds to become the next Spurs manager. Marco Silva is also among the contenders, while names like Adi Hutter, Ryan Mason, Mauricio Pochettino, and Harry Redknapp remain in the conversation.

Dyche, speaking on talkSPORT, acknowledged how difficult it is to respond to speculation, saying managers often try to stay respectful when linked with major clubs like Tottenham.
