Igor Tudor faces widespread mockery after his pre-match actions ahead of the clash with Liverpool F.C. went viral in a comical video.

Interim Igor Tudor currently has plenty on his plate at Tottenham Hotspur, with his side starting their match against Liverpool F.C. level on points with 18th-placed West Ham United F.C.. As the pressure around the club continues to rise, some fans watching from home joked that the Croatian coach might simply have too much on his mind.

Ahead of kickoff, the former Juventus F.C. defender appeared to begin chatting with a member of his own staff, Allan Dixon, seemingly mistaking him for Liverpool manager Arne Slot. Both men share a similar bald look, which may explain the mix-up, but the awkward moment quickly went viral on social media.

Supporters online wasted no time reacting. One fan claimed Tudor looked “completely unaware,” while another wondered whether his appointment could end up being one of the worst managerial calls in the Premier League this season. Others simply found the incident hilarious, calling it one of the funniest clips of the campaign.

At the time of writing, Spurs were behind 1–0 at Anfield after conceding a brilliant — though arguably saveable — free-kick from Dominik Szoboszlai. The North London side are currently in poor form, having gone 11 matches without a win and still searching for their first Premier League victory of 2026.

Elsewhere, it was also a difficult night in Europe for Chelsea F.C., who suffered a 5–2 defeat away to Paris Saint‑Germain F.C.. The match had been level at 2–2 until the 74th minute, leaving Chelsea in a promising position before the game turned sharply.

Goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen made a costly mistake that allowed Vitinha to score, after which PSG took control and added two late goals.

After the final whistle, a visibly emotional Jørgensen appeared ready to head straight down the tunnel, seemingly ignoring a request from Chelsea captain Reece James to acknowledge the travelling supporters. Journalist Julien Laurens reported that fellow goalkeeper Robert Sánchez eventually convinced him to return to the pitch and applaud the fans.

Laurens added that Jørgensen was clearly upset and initially wanted to go directly to the dressing room, despite James urging the team to show appreciation to the supporters.

The episode quickly sparked debate on social media. Some fans criticised the reaction, saying it reflected poor mentality, while others were frustrated that the goalkeeper appeared to ignore his captain’s request. Many argued that players must take responsibility for mistakes and show accountability, especially after tough results.
