Igor Tudor brought the Tottenham Hotspur squad together for a team dinner as he looks to strengthen unity ahead of his first game in charge.
The Croatian’s tenure at Spurs kicks off with a massive North London derby. With only 13 senior players fully fit, Tudor nonetheless struck an assured and determined tone during his first press conference at Hotspur Way, expressing belief that his side can compete with Arsenal.
Having only taken over earlier in the week, the 47-year-old is still building relationships within the squad and chose an informal gathering to help accelerate team bonding. Tudor, his backroom staff and the first-team players were seen dining together as preparations intensified for Sunday’s key clash.
According to The Sun, the group visited Ousia, a Greek-Cypriot restaurant in Muswell Hill, just a few miles from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Casually dressed and in upbeat spirits, the players and coaches were pictured smiling around the table with soft drinks on hand.
Tudor is eager to raise morale following a challenging period under Thomas Frank that saw confidence drop. The former Juventus manager has made it clear he believes Spurs will steer clear of relegation, even though they remain just five points above the bottom three.
Fans will now be hoping this new chapter under Tudor can trigger improved performances and results in the weeks ahead.
