Tottenham Hotspur have undoubtedly faced a challenging 2025/26 season, particularly due to a long list of injuries.
At one point during the campaign, the squad was pushed to its limits, with up to 13 players unavailable because of injuries, illness, and suspensions. Thankfully for Spurs, that number has gradually reduced in recent weeks. Before their match against Nottingham Forest, only seven players were ruled out, and the situation is expected to improve further soon.
Reports indicate that as many as five players could return within the next three weeks, providing a significant boost to the team. Mohammed Kudus, Ben Davies, and Yves Bissouma—who have all been sidelined for lengthy periods—are set to resume training shortly, which could make them available for the league clash against Sunderland on April 12.
Head coach Igor Tudor had earlier suggested that Kudus might return within ten days after the Forest game, while Davies is aiming for a comeback around mid-April. The exact timeline for Bissouma’s recovery remains uncertain, but there is growing confidence that he will not be out for much longer.
Meanwhile, Mathys Tel, who suffered a minor injury during the Forest match and had to be substituted, will undergo further checks. If the problem is not serious, he could return to action in the near future.
Rodrigo Bentancur is also closing in on a return from a thigh injury and could be back next month, potentially in time for the Sunderland fixture.
Although the injury situation is improving, the upcoming international break brings new worries. A total of 28 Tottenham players have travelled to represent their national teams in friendlies and World Cup qualifiers, increasing the risk of additional injuries. Spurs will be hoping all their players return safely as they prepare for a crucial stretch of matches in the Premier League while battling to stay clear of relegation.
