Tottenham Hotspur are expected to turn to either Sean Dyche or Roberto De Zerbi following the dismissal of Igor Tudor.
The English and Italian coaches have emerged as joint favourites with bookmakers to take charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the club decided to part ways with the Croatian manager after just one win in seven games.
Both Dyche and De Zerbi have seen their odds cut to 6/4 to land the role. De Zerbi’s chances have shortened from 2/1, while Dyche was priced at 8/1 only a few days ago — a clear sign that confidence in their appointments is growing.
Spurs are under pressure to make a swift decision, with the club currently locked in a fierce relegation battle.
Other names in contention
Mauricio Pochettino is also believed to be on Tottenham’s radar, although his odds of 10/1 suggest he is considered an outsider for the position.
Additional candidates include Marco Silva at 7/2, Adi Hutter at 6/1, and former interim boss Ryan Mason at 12/1. Former Spurs striker Robbie Keane is listed at 14/1, while veteran manager Harry Redknapp is a 20/1 shot to make a dramatic return to North London.
Tottenham cannot afford another mistake
Tottenham simply cannot get this next appointment wrong. With only seven matches remaining in the season, the incoming manager will have very little time to turn results around.
The Lilywhites sit just one point above the relegation zone and currently hold the worst form in the Premier League, having lost five and drawn one of their last six league fixtures — a run that ultimately led to Tudor’s dismissal.
Whoever takes charge must make an immediate impact to preserve Spurs’ top-flight status. Dyche and De Zerbi appear to be leading candidates largely because both have previously demonstrated an ability to stabilize struggling teams quickly when they secure the backing of their players.
