After Tottenham’s latest defeat, the Opta Supercomputer’s updated Premier League projections have been reviewed.
Spurs lost another league game on Sunday, falling 2-1 to Fulham in a London derby. Igor Tudor admitted the team’s performance was well below standard, leaving the Croatian coach with a daunting task as the club struggles to string together wins.
Current bottom-half standings:
14th: Crystal Palace – 35 pts
15th: Leeds – 31 pts
16th: Tottenham – 29 pts
17th: Nottingham Forest – 27 pts
18th: West Ham – 25 pts
Opta’s forecast for Spurs:
Despite recent struggles, the model predicts Tottenham will avoid further slide, ending the season with around 42 points, likely finishing 16th. West Ham are projected 18th with 35 points, and Nottingham Forest 17th with 38 points.
Chasing 40 points:
To reach the traditional 40-point safety mark, Spurs need three wins and two draws from their remaining 10 games. With the team still searching for its first league win of 2026, the path isn’t clear. The small consolation is that Forest and West Ham are also struggling, so survival might be possible with as few as 35–36 points this season.
