Tottenham Hotspur F.C. have reportedly written to Professional Game Match Officials Limited chief Howard Webb to voice their dissatisfaction over a number of disputed refereeing calls, according to BBC Sport.
The North London side are said to have highlighted several key decisions from recent matches that they believe went against them at pivotal moments. Spurs feel those calls have influenced outcomes at a time when they are struggling near the bottom of the table.
Although the club have avoided criticising officials publicly, their decision to approach Webb directly suggests increasing concern internally. Tottenham are understood to be seeking clarification on how certain rulings were made and whether officiating standards are being applied consistently.
PGMOL, which oversees refereeing in English professional football, has not yet commented publicly. It is, however, standard procedure for clubs to request formal explanations if they feel mistakes have been made.
The move adds another layer of pressure to an already difficult season for Spurs, with scrutiny intensifying both on and off the pitch.
