Spurs have already spent big reshaping the spine of the team — Sandro Tonali’s £100 million arrival from Newcastle, Mateus Fernandes joining from West Ham for £85 million, Jan Paul van Hecke’s £52 million move from Brighton, plus free transfers for Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka. With those areas sorted, attention has now turned up front, where Richarlison’s future remains uncertain and Dominic Solanke stands as the only recognized senior striker.
Top of the list is Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi, who broke out last season with 13 goals in 33 Premier League appearances. His movement, composure and knack for creating chances have made him one of Europe’s most in-demand young forwards. But Bournemouth, gearing up for their first-ever European campaign, have slapped an £85 million valuation on him and won’t budge — leaving Spurs weighing whether to pay up or explore alternatives.
One such alternative is Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush, who has struggled for regular minutes behind Erling Haaland despite his pace and technical quality. A move to North London could hand him the fresh start and increased game time he’s been missing, while his versatility across the front line would give De Zerbi extra tactical options.
Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi is also being tracked closely after a standout campaign — 23 goals and seven assists — that’s caught the eye of scouts across Europe. At 20, Tottenham reportedly view his age and upside as worth backing, even if he needed time to adjust to the Premier League.
Rounding out the shortlist is Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani, who contributed to 19 goals in 35 games in his first season in one of Europe’s top five leagues. His numbers don’t quite match Tresoldi’s, making him arguably the biggest gamble of the four, but at 23 there’s still seen to be room for growth under an attack-minded coach like De Zerbi.
With weeks left in the window, Tottenham are expected to keep assessing all four before making a final call. Kroupi remains the dream target, but Bournemouth’s steep asking price means Spurs are keeping backup plans firmly in place.
Whichever route they take — banking on proven quality or betting on youth — adding a new striker has become one of the club’s top priorities as De Zerbi looks to build a squad capable of challenging near the top of the table once again.
