Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for a summer overhaul unlike any in recent memory. Roberto De Zerbi wants to finally shake off the uncertainty that’s lingered since Harry Kane left, and the club’s leadership sees Victor Osimhen and Savinho as the two players who could anchor that transformation. Getting both deals done, though, means raising serious cash first — and Spurs are willing to move on several key names to make it happen.
Consistency has been the issue for Tottenham lately. There’ve been good moments under De Zerbi, but not enough to seriously challenge the league’s top sides, and the club’s transfer business has been seen as too safe to change that. That’s about to shift. Spurs are eyeing two of the most sought-after attacking talents on the continent — Osimhen, currently banging in goals for Galatasaray, and Savinho, the Brazilian winger impressing on loan at Girona from Man City. Landing both would cost north of £125m combined, so player sales are essential to make the numbers work.
Tottenham have always tried to spend within their means, but going after this pair means stretching that approach. The plan is to raise close to £150m by moving on some big names — sales that would cover much of the transfer spend and open up wage room for the new arrivals. It’s a tough call, since some of the players being shipped out would once have seemed nailed-on starters, but De Zerbi’s rebuild calls for it.
Osimhen, 27, brings pace, physicality in the air, and a proven scoring touch — exactly the kind of central presence Spurs have missed since Kane left. Galatasaray are said to want around £65m for him. Savinho, just 22, offers flair and dribbling ability on the wing, with City valuing him at roughly £60m. Together, they’d give Tottenham a front line capable of pushing for Champions League qualification and possibly more.
Tactically, the pair fit De Zerbi’s style well — Osimhen stretching defenses with his movement, Savinho winning his individual battles out wide — and they’d link up nicely with James Maddison and Son Heung-min, while incoming midfielders like Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes would give the attack more freedom.
It’s not risk-free. Losing established players could unsettle the squad, fans may push back on seeing familiar faces leave, and neither Osimhen’s fit in England nor Savinho’s ability to settle at a young age is guaranteed.
As for who’s funding it: reports point to four departures. Cristian Romero is drawing interest from Inter Milan and Barcelona, with De Zerbi reportedly favoring more comfortable-on-the-ball defenders. Richarlison, who never quite rediscovered his Everton level at Spurs, could head to Juventus. Guglielmo Vicario looks set to be replaced as No.1 by Antonin Kinsky, with Juventus and Inter both watching him. And Lucas Bergvall, short on game time, has reportedly asked to leave, with Nottingham Forest ready to pay £50m.
Combined, these four exits could bring in around £150m — Romero (£43m), Richarlison (£17–21m), Vicario (£20m), and Bergvall (£50m).
It adds up to a defining gamble for the club: sell off familiar faces to fund a genuine statement rebuild. If Osimhen and Savinho deliver, this could be the summer Spurs return to the continent’s top table. If not, it’s a lot of risk for very little reward.
