Djed Spence Offered to Liverpool and Manchester United as Defender Seeks Regular Playing Time
Tottenham full-back Djed Spence has reportedly been offered to Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United as he considers his future ahead of the new season, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The versatile defender, capable of playing on either side of the defence, is believed to be prioritising a move that would give him consistent first-team opportunities.
Speaking on The United Stand, Jacobs claimed Spence’s representatives have made his availability known to several leading English clubs, with Liverpool and Manchester United among those approached.
Jacobs explained that Spence wants to join a club where he can establish himself as a regular starter, whether that comes at right-back or left-back.
Neither Liverpool nor Manchester United are understood to have opened advanced negotiations for the player yet, although both clubs are assessing potential options to strengthen their full-back positions.
Spence is reportedly willing to leave Tottenham if the right opportunity emerges. Competition for places at Spurs has restricted his playing time, encouraging the defender to seek a club where he can play on a regular basis.
His performances on the international stage have also boosted his reputation, with his pace, energy and versatility making him an attractive option for clubs looking to add depth and flexibility to their defence.
