Pape Matar Sarr Removes Tottenham Posts After Being Given Permission to Leave Spurs

Pape Matar Sarr Deletes Tottenham Posts After Being Told He Can Leave

Pape Matar Sarr could be heading for the Tottenham exit this summer after reportedly being informed that he is free to find a new club.

The 23-year-old Senegal international has seen his importance within Roberto De Zerbi’s squad reduced following the arrivals of midfielders Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.

According to reports from Sacha Tavolieri, Tottenham have told Sarr that he can leave the club if a suitable offer arrives. The midfielder has now reportedly deleted his Tottenham-related posts on social media, further fuelling speculation over his future.

Sarr remains highly regarded across Europe and is considered a player with plenty of potential. He made 13 Premier League starts for Spurs last season and could now be looking for a club where he can enjoy more regular first-team football.

With Tottenham already possessing considerable depth in midfield, the club could decide that selling Sarr would be beneficial both financially and for the player’s development. Remaining on the bench for much of the season could limit his progress, making a move potentially attractive for all parties.

If Sarr does depart, Tottenham would also have additional funds to strengthen other areas of the squad. Spurs have already made significant improvements in defence and midfield, but their attack could still use more firepower.

The North London club could therefore use any money raised from Sarr’s sale to pursue a dynamic winger and another striker before the summer transfer window closes.
