Tottenham are reportedly open to offers for their prolific midfielder as the summer window winds down, with reports suggesting the Senegal international could depart North London before deadline day.
The 23-year-old has drawn interest from multiple clubs, with Galatasaray emerging as one of the frontrunners. The Istanbul side are said to be ready to push hard for a deal as they look to bolster their midfield before their window closes. They’re not alone in the race either — there’s also interest from within the Premier League, giving the player several routes away from Spurs if the club decides to let him go.
A fresh start could appeal given his unclear standing under Roberto De Zerbi, with suggestions he knows he isn’t part of the manager’s long-term plans. A switch to Galatasaray, though, would mean a step down in weekly competition compared to what the Premier League offers, even with the Turkish club’s strong domestic and European standing.
Once regarded as one of Tottenham’s brightest midfield prospects, his role in the squad has clearly shrunk. Galatasaray’s push could be pivotal given the tight timeline — Premier League clubs must complete deals by 11pm on September 1, while Turkish clubs have a bit more breathing room, though Galatasaray will still need to act fast to beat any rival interest and convince both player and club a move to Istanbul makes sense.
Adding to the appeal for suitors, Tottenham are said to have set a fairly modest £30 million valuation — reasonable given his age and potential — which could tempt clubs hunting for a young, Premier League-tested midfielder.
