Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola remains Liverpool’s priority target on the left flank after his impressive performances on the international stage.
French journalist François Plateau reported that Liverpool and PSG had reached a verbal agreement for the 23-year-old, with the transfer fee expected to exceed £110 million. He later claimed that the deal was effectively considered ‘done’ by all parties, with only final details left to resolve before Barcola undergoes his medical.
However, Fabrizio Romano has urged caution, insisting that Liverpool and PSG are still negotiating the final terms of the transfer.
Romano confirmed that the two clubs have been in contact daily, discussing the fee, payment structure and instalment terms. He explained that once PSG formally accept Liverpool’s offer, the deal could progress extremely quickly.
According to Romano, the moment PSG give the green light, Barcola could immediately undergo his medical before signing his Liverpool contract.
Romano also warned that bringing Barcola to Anfield could have a major knock-on effect, with Cody Gakpo potentially leaving if the French winger arrives.
