“Get Rid Now” – Liverpool Supporters Vent Anger Over Player’s Display Against Forest

Liverpool fans are once again venting their frustration at Jeremie Frimpong after the Reds were held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Andoni Iraola’s search for a first Premier League home win as Liverpool boss continued after Dan Ndoye put Forest ahead early. Alexander Isak pulled the hosts level before Morgan Gibbs-White converted a penalty to hand Forest the lead again. Summer arrival Víctor Muñoz then popped up late to rescue a point for Liverpool.

Even with the late leveller, most of the post-match talk centred on Frimpong, whose display has reportedly irritated supporters for a second straight league outing. He copped heavy criticism after the Newcastle draw last weekend, and it followed him into this game too, with fans questioning both his defensive solidity and his end product going forward. Several have now called on the club to sign a fresh right-back before the transfer window shuts.

Frimpong also played a part in the build-up to Liverpool’s disallowed first-half strike, flagged offside when Florian Wirtz put the ball in the net. He was hauled off with roughly 20 minutes left as Iraola shuffled his side following Forest’s second goal.

Frimpong joined from Bayer Leverkusen as the man tipped to fill Trent Alexander-Arnold’s boots long-term. But a little over a year into his time at the club, more and more fans seem to be doubting whether he’s cut out for that role.
