Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye, with negotiations progressing over a potential deal that could also see Richarlison return to Goodison Park.
Spurs have turned their attention to Ndiaye after their plans for another attacking target changed dramatically. Manchester City had reportedly been preparing a sensational package worth £80million plus Jack Grealish for the Everton star, but that proposed agreement has now fallen apart.
Developments surrounding Cody Gakpo have changed the situation, with the Liverpool forward heading to the Etihad and City subsequently cooling their interest in Ndiaye.
That has opened the door for Tottenham, who are now ready to push hard for the Senegalese forward.
Spurs are understood to be prepared to match the kind of financial package they had been willing to offer for Gakpo, while Richarlison could potentially head back to Everton as part of the negotiations.
The Brazilian left Everton for Tottenham in 2022 after establishing himself as a Premier League star at Goodison Park. A sensational return could now be on the cards.
Meanwhile, Everton remain interested in Jack Grealish despite the collapse of the proposed City-Ndiaye arrangement.
Grealish spent last season on loan with the Toffees, scoring two goals and providing six assists in 22 games across all competitions. His performances have reportedly left Everton keen on bringing him back permanently.
