Tottenham Decide to Offload Radu Dragusin as De Zerbi Plans Summer Overhaul

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly already made a firm call on the future of one senior player, deciding he will be allowed to leave this summer regardless of whether the club secures Premier League survival, according to Sports Boom.

Spurs boosted their chances of staying up with a 2–1 victory over Aston Villa, climbing out of the relegation zone and moving a point ahead of West Ham with three matches left. Under Roberto De Zerbi, the team has now recorded consecutive wins, offering renewed belief. Despite that progress, the manager appears to have determined that at least one member of the squad does not feature in his long-term plans.

Dragusin set for exit

Radu Dragusin has reportedly been informed he can depart, with Tottenham willing to listen to offers for the Romanian defender.

The centre-back, who returned from a serious knee injury earlier this season, has found opportunities limited. He currently trails Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Kevin Danso in the defensive hierarchy, with his only appearance under De Zerbi coming as a late substitute in the narrow win over Wolves.

Recent reports also indicate that Dragusin’s agent travelled to the UK for discussions over his future, further fuelling expectations of a summer move. Tottenham are said to value him at around £17.2 million ahead of the transfer window.

Clubs from Italy and Germany are believed to be monitoring the situation, with the 24-year-old eager to secure more consistent playing time. A departure is increasingly likely as Spurs prepare for a broader squad reshaping under De Zerbi.

A logical outcome for both sides

When Dragusin arrived under Ange Postecoglou, his physical profile suited the system well, providing solid depth behind Van de Ven and Romero. However, since recovering from injury, he has struggled to regain top form.

With Tottenham expected to strengthen their defence — and with uncertainty surrounding the futures of some key defenders — Dragusin’s path to regular minutes appears limited.

A transfer could ultimately suit all parties, allowing the player to revive his career with more game time while giving Tottenham the opportunity to reinvest in areas identified as priorities by the manager.
