BLOCKBUSTER Transfer Update: Three More “Outstanding” Players Want Tottenham or Nothing — BOLD Decision Confirmed

Tottenham are heading into one of their most consequential transfer windows in recent memory, with five players already open to being part of Roberto De Zerbi’s rebuild at the club.

Back-to-back 17th-place Premier League finishes have made it clear that significant changes are necessary, and bringing in experienced leaders has become a key priority for the club this summer.

Spurs have already wrapped up the free transfer signings of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi. Robertson was secured despite competition from Juventus, while Senesi chose north London over reported interest from Liverpool. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed both deals with his signature “Here We Go” phrase.

Romano also revealed that veteran Welsh defender Ben Davies, who had appeared set to leave when his contract runs out at the end of June, has instead agreed to sign a new deal and stay at the club.

On his YouTube channel, Romano gave an update on Joao Palhinha, the Portuguese midfielder who impressed on loan at Spurs last season and scored the decisive goal that kept the club in the Premier League on the final day. Tottenham hold an option to sign him permanently from Bayern Munich for around €30 million (£26 million), and despite interest from Sporting CP, Palhinha is prioritising a return to Spurs.

“Sporting CP are interested, but they will only move for him if the Tottenham deal doesn’t happen,” Romano said. “At the moment, Palhinha is still giving priority to Tottenham.”

The headline transfer story, however, centres on Manchester City winger Savinho. Spurs made two bids for the Brazilian last summer, with their best offer reportedly reaching €80 million (£70 million) — a fee that would have made him the club’s most expensive signing ever, ahead of Dominic Solanke. The move never came off, but Savinho remains keen on joining Tottenham, and conditions this summer look more promising.

City are now willing to sell, and the expected fee is likely to be considerably lower than last year’s asking price. Romano confirmed Spurs are actively pushing to get the deal done.

“Tottenham are increasing their efforts to accelerate negotiations for Savinho,” Romano said. “Spurs want to secure an agreement with the player first before negotiating with Manchester City. The deal is definitely on. The valuation will probably be different now — they were pursuing him under Thomas Frank in 2025, and they continue to pursue him under Roberto De Zerbi in 2026.”
