Savinho has made his intentions clear as Tottenham step up their pursuit of the Manchester City winger.
Spurs have been chasing the Brazilian for two consecutive transfer windows without success, but the latest round of talks suggests this summer could finally be different. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that City are now open to letting Savinho leave, having struggled to nail down regular game time at the Etihad last season.
According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are making significant progress in their bid to land the 22-year-old ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s first full season at the helm. Crucially, sources indicate that Savinho himself is keen on the move — and has been for some time. The former Girona man reportedly expressed a desire to join Spurs as far back as January, only for City to block a mid-season departure. That stance has since softened, with Tottenham officials said to be increasingly optimistic that Savinho’s clear preference to move to N17 will help push negotiations forward.
On the financial side, things are also looking more favourable for Spurs. While no formal offer has been submitted yet, early indications suggest a fee in the region of £50 million could get the deal done — a notable drop from the £70 million Tottenham were reportedly prepared to pay just twelve months ago.
With the player onside and City’s asking price falling, the pieces appear to be falling into place for Spurs to finally land their long-term target.
