Spurs open to selling Pape Matar Sarr

Tottenham are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Pape Matar Sarr as the summer transfer window approaches its conclusion. The Senegalese midfielder could be on his way out of Spurs if a suitable bid arrives before deadline day.

The 23-year-old is also thought to be considering an exit, with his importance under Roberto De Zerbi seemingly reduced. Galatasaray are among the clubs showing strong interest, while there is also reported interest from Premier League sides.

Sarr made just 13 Premier League starts last season, and concerns over his future grew after he was omitted from Tottenham’s squad for the defeat against Brentford. The signings of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have further intensified competition for midfield positions.

With Spurs having invested heavily during the summer, the club could view Sarr’s sale as a sensible move. Reports suggest Tottenham may be willing to consider an offer of around £30 million, despite the original article carrying a £70m headline.

Galatasaray are reportedly keen to exploit the situation and could provide Sarr with the regular first-team football he is looking for. However, the midfielder must weigh up whether a move away from the Premier League would be the best step for his development.

With the transfer deadline rapidly approaching, Sarr’s future could be resolved within days. Tottenham may retain him if no acceptable offer arrives, but a late approach could still see the Senegal international depart North London.
