Hugo Ekitike’s future is becoming a major talking point, with reports claiming the Liverpool striker could be open to a move to Barcelona if the Catalan giants make a serious approach.
There is currently no confirmation of official talks or negotiations between Liverpool and Barcelona, but the rumours have quickly gained attention during the summer transfer window.
Ekitike has impressed since arriving at Anfield, with his pace, technical ability, movement and finishing attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. Barcelona are reportedly monitoring the French forward as a possible long-term attacking option.
The striker is said to be willing to consider a move if Barcelona present a concrete proposal, although that does NOT mean he is actively seeking an exit from Liverpool.
Liverpool remain committed to Ekitike and are understood to have no intention of selling one of their key attacking talents. The Reds reportedly view him as an important part of their future and believe he can develop into an elite forward.
Barcelona are also exploring several other young attackers, meaning Ekitike is just one of the names on their radar.
For now, there has been no official bid from Barcelona, while Liverpool have shown no desire to negotiate. The situation remains speculation rather than a concrete transfer development.
👀 With the transfer window still open, however, things could change quickly if Barcelona decide to test Liverpool’s resolve.
