Richarlison’s Cryptic Social Media Post Goes Viral After Everton Transfer Agreement
Richarlison has sparked plenty of speculation with a cryptic social media post following reports that Tottenham have reached an agreement in principle to sell him back to Everton for around £35 million.
The 29-year-old Brazilian is reportedly set to return to Merseyside, four years after leaving Everton for Spurs. He remains a hugely popular figure among Toffees supporters after helping the club avoid relegation during his final season there.
Richarlison started Tottenham’s opening-day defeat to Brentford but was left out of the squad for their recent loss to Newcastle.
Following the transfer reports, the forward posted a picture of himself wearing a Spurs shirt alongside a Portuguese mural. His caption, accompanied by a thinking emoji, translates to:
“I am the villain of many poorly told stories.”
The post quickly attracted thousands of likes, while comments appeared to have been disabled, leaving fans wondering whether it was a farewell message.
The proposed move is reportedly separate from Tottenham’s £60 million deal for Iliman Ndiaye, who is heading in the opposite direction from Everton to Spurs.
