Ferran Torres and Mika Godts Could Trigger Bradley Barcola Exit From PSG
Ferran Torres is reportedly edging closer to a summer transfer to PSG.
According to Ben Jacobs on X, PSG’s expected moves for the Spanish winger and Ajax youngster Mika Godts could influence the club’s position on Bradley Barcola, potentially making them more open to his departure.
Liverpool are continuing their efforts to sign the 23-year-old Barcola and are also looking to bring in another winger, with Ibrahim Mbaye emerging as a possible target.
PSG Could Have Too Many Wingers
If the deals for Torres and Godts are completed, Luis Enrique could have up to nine wingers at his disposal for the 2026/27 campaign.
That would create significant competition for places and could make it difficult for players such as Barcola and Mbaye to secure regular playing time.
For that reason, PSG’s potential incoming deals could pave the way for Barcola to leave the club this summer — something that would come as a major boost to Liverpool.
The Reds have already been negotiating with PSG over a deal for the French international and are believed to have agreed personal terms with the player.
Liverpool Must Beat Arsenal to Barcola
Liverpool will still need to be wary of Arsenal, who are also searching for a new left winger.
With Vinicius Jr choosing to remain at Real Madrid, the number of elite options available on the left side has become increasingly limited. That has opened the door for Arsenal to potentially enter the race for Barcola.
Liverpool’s advantage is that they have already reached an agreement with the player over personal terms. However, PSG lowering their asking price could dramatically change the situation.
After investing so much effort into securing Barcola — potentially while sacrificing other important squad additions — Liverpool cannot afford to allow Arsenal to hijack the deal.
Losing Barcola to a direct Premier League rival would be a major setback for Richard Hughes and Liverpool’s recruitment strategy.
