Fabrizio Romano Dismisses Huge Bradley Barcola-to-Liverpool Claim

Liverpool Maintain Daily Talks With PSG Over Bradley Barcola

Liverpool remain in daily contact with PSG as they continue working to reach an agreement for Bradley Barcola this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds were still in contact with the French champions as recently as Thursday, underlining their determination to get the deal over the line.

Liverpool have already reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with Barcola, who is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield.

Despite reports suggesting Liverpool could abandon negotiations, Romano insists the club have no intention of walking away at this stage.

“Liverpool remain in daily conversation with PSG for Bradley Barcola,” Romano said on the Here We Go Podcast.

He added that Barcola “wants to go to Liverpool” and that the winger has “never been untouchable,” with Liverpool prepared to push strongly for his signature.

The major obstacle remains the financial side of the deal. PSG are believed to want around £145 million, a figure Liverpool are currently unwilling to match.

Romano explained: “Now it depends on the financial agreement. But even on Thursday, contacts took place between PSG and Liverpool. So, the deal is on.”

That suggests Liverpool are playing a patient game, hoping PSG will eventually lower their demands. The French club’s pursuit of Ferran Torres and potentially Mika Godts could also influence Barcola’s situation, particularly with increased competition for attacking positions.

Barcola has less than two years remaining on his PSG contract, meaning his value could potentially decline if his playing time is reduced next season.

For now, Liverpool continue to negotiate, but the longer the process takes, the greater the risk for the Reds, with the new Premier League campaign fast approaching and several areas of the squad still requiring reinforcement.
