BREAKING! De Zerbi Drops HUGE Update — Forgotten Tottenham Star Set for Sensational Comeback

Mohammed Kudus looks set to finally make his comeback soon, with Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi offering an upbeat assessment of the winger’s recovery during the club’s pre-season trip to New Zealand.

De Zerbi Gives Update on Kudus Comeback

The Ghanaian arrived from West Ham last summer in a switch that raised plenty of eyebrows at the time. But any doubts were quickly put to rest, as Kudus shone in pre-season and the early rounds of the Premier League, showing exactly why Spurs had pushed to sign him.

That form was cut short by injury, though, and Tottenham visibly missed him for large stretches of the campaign. Kudus racked up 26 appearances last season and was directly involved in eight goals before the setback struck.

The injury came in Spurs’ league fixture against Sunderland back in January, when he was forced off after just 19 minutes with a hamstring problem, making way for Randal Kolo Muani. He’s been sidelined for 23 games since that afternoon, but there are now encouraging signs his return isn’t far off.

Speaking from New Zealand, De Zerbi said the forward is close to being fully fit again, noting that Kudus will be able to join full training once the squad is back in London. That timeline points to Kudus sitting out Tottenham’s last three pre-season games in Oceania, with his return likely once the team is back for the Getafe friendly at Hotspur Way.

Spurs Keen to Have Kudus Back

Injuries hit Tottenham hard last season, and losing a talent like Kudus for such a long stretch was a real blow given his creative spark. Even in a season limited to 1,545 Premier League minutes, he still created 23 chances, completed 240 passes at 85% accuracy, and consistently made things happen in the final third.

He was just as effective going past opponents, landing 52 successful dribbles and winning 107 duels. His work rate off the ball stood out too, as he chipped in with 133 defensive actions that showed his willingness to put in a shift for the team.

With the new season closing in, De Zerbi will be hoping to have Kudus back soon. The attacker looks poised to be a key figure once the Premier League campaign gets underway, and Tottenham fans will be counting down the days until he’s back on the pitch.
