PSG squad honours Diogo Jota and Hillsborough victims in emotional Anfield tribute ahead of UCL clash

Paris Saint-Germain’s full delegation, including president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, sporting director Luis Campos, and players João Neves, Nuno Mendes, Gonçalo Ramos and Vitinha, visited the memorial of Diogo Jota outside Anfield to lay flowers and honour his memory alongside his brother, André Silva.

The team and staff also paid their respects to the victims of the Hillsborough disaster ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg against Liverpool F.C..

In a post on X, PSG said president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and the sporting group paid tribute to the Hillsborough victims before a moment of reflection at the Diogo Jota and André Silva memorial at Anfield, ahead of the match.

The club also confirmed that a minute’s silence will be observed before kickoff, and players from both sides will wear black armbands in remembrance.
