HE’S BACK! De Zerbi Drops Huge Update on Tottenham Star’s Stunning Return to White Hart Lane

Tottenham supporters have been waiting patiently for Mohammed Kudus to return, with the Ghana international sidelined since January after suffering a quadriceps injury. The winger had initially been expected back in April, but a late setback in his recovery pushed his comeback further and kept him out for the remainder of Spurs’ relegation fight last season.

His absence was felt keenly throughout the campaign, with Tottenham’s form dipping around the same time the injury struck. Before going down, Kudus had been a constant outlet going forward, using his pace, dribbling and directness to give the side a genuine attacking threat and much-needed spark in the final third.

Now under Roberto De Zerbi, fans are eager to finally see what Kudus can offer under the new coach, having not featured at all since the Italian’s appointment. That wait, however, looks set to end soon.

Although he has missed training and every pre-season fixture so far, Kudus is edging closer to full fitness. Speaking via Hotspur Lane, De Zerbi gave an encouraging update, saying the winger is very close to being ready and will be able to join the group once the squad returns to London, adding that having him back would be significant given the importance of the player.

The update will lift spirits around the club, with De Zerbi making clear that Kudus remains very much part of his plans going forward. Barring any further setbacks, he should be back in full training as soon as Tottenham wrap up their pre-season tour.

Credit has also been given to the club’s medical staff for handling his recovery with caution rather than rushing him back for friendlies. That patience has come with a silver lining too, giving younger players and fringe squad members extra minutes and opportunities to impress during the tour in his absence.

Tottenham’s fortunes next season won’t hinge on one player alone, but Kudus’ return should still make a real difference. Even with further attacking reinforcements possible before the window shuts, he remains one of the squad’s most dangerous forwards, having established himself as one of the Premier League’s most effective dribblers before his injury. Once fully fit, he’s expected to slot straight back into a central role in De Zerbi’s setup.
