Liverpool FC are reportedly considering a summer move for Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain.
With Mohamed Salah approaching the stage where a long-term successor is needed, the 23-year-old winger has emerged as an attractive target. Although not a regular starter in Paris, Barcola has still managed to impress with his performances.
He has started just 17 league matches for PSG this season but has made his presence felt, notably producing a standout display against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. In total, he has recorded 12 goals and seven assists across all competitions.
Reports from The Times suggest Liverpool have been tracking Barcola for a while, having previously shown interest last summer. However, completing a deal could prove difficult, as PSG are expected to demand a hefty fee for one of their brightest young talents.
A switch to Anfield could be ideal for Barcola’s development, offering him consistent Premier League minutes to refine his game and fulfil his potential. His speed and flair in attack would provide Liverpool with a fresh edge going forward and could even see him surpass the contributions of Cody Gakpo, who has struggled for consistency this season.
Liverpool may also look to reinforce further in wide areas, with links to Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig. After an underwhelming season, the club is expected to address key weaknesses and return stronger in the pursuit of major honours next term.
