Tottenham Hotspur have held talks over a sensational move for Real Madrid striker Endrick this summer, with the club continuing their aggressive rebuild under Roberto De Zerbi.
The 20-year-old is reportedly keen on a switch to the Premier League, though Real Madrid remain willing only to sanction another straight loan, similar to the arrangement that saw him spend last season on loan at Lyon. Spurs are said to be open to a deal without a buy-option clause attached, a stance that could give them the edge over rivals such as Manchester United in the race for his signature. Endrick’s representatives are understood to be weighing up his options as the transfer window edges toward its final weeks.
Endrick has long been regarded as one of the brightest talents to emerge from South America since Neymar, a reputation that convinced Real Madrid to part with a stunning £61.7million to sign him as a 16-year-old. His attributes have drawn praise from the likes of Carlo Ancelotti despite his relatively modest stature.
Tottenham have already had a busy summer, bringing in Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Martin Dubravka, Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, breaking their transfer record twice along the way. De Zerbi, however, has made clear he views the rebuild as only around 60% complete, with reinforcements still needed up front.
Manchester City’s Savinho remains the priority target out wide, while Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo is also under consideration, with Pedro Neto viewed as a possible back-up option. Endrick’s situation now presents Spurs with another opportunity to add serious quality to their attacking options as the window heads toward its close.
