DONE DEAL! — Star Set to Arrive Monday Night for Medical as Huge Transfer Moves Closer to Completion, with Final Contract Formalities Now Underway! ✅

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is reportedly edging closer to an exit, with Juventus now closing in on a deal to take the Italian back to Serie A.

The 29-year-old has been attracting strong interest from clubs in Italy, with Inter Milan previously exploring a move and reportedly agreeing personal terms with the goalkeeper before the deal collapsed. Napoli also showed interest, while Juventus later opened talks with his representatives.

Juventus have now accelerated negotiations as they look to replace Michele Di Gregorio after his disappointing 2025/26 season. Vicario has reportedly become their preferred target, and discussions have moved quickly.

🚨 Vicario Set for Juventus Medical

Reports from Italy claim Tottenham and Juventus have reached an agreement for an initial loan deal, which includes an option for the Turin giants to sign Vicario permanently.

Italian journalist Giorgio Musso reports that Vicario is expected to travel to Italy today to undergo his medical tests. He is reportedly due to arrive in Turin at around 4pm local time before completing the final formalities and signing his Juventus contract, subject to passing the medical.

Gazzetta dello Sport have also backed the reports, stating that Vicario will make his way to the Allianz Stadium after arriving in Turin. He is expected to meet Juventus supporters and his new teammates, who are scheduled to gather for a pre-season lunch.

Juventus will reportedly have a €10 million option to buy the goalkeeper permanently when his loan spell ends.

Vicario Pushes for Serie A Return

Vicario’s desire to return to Italy is believed to be one of the major factors behind the proposed move.

The goalkeeper has reportedly made his preference known, seeing a return to Serie A as an opportunity to rebuild his confidence and revive his career after a difficult spell in North London.

From Tottenham’s perspective, the transfer could also benefit their squad plans. Vicario’s future under Roberto De Zerbi had become increasingly uncertain, particularly with competition for the No. 1 position potentially pushing him further down the pecking order.

His departure would also reduce Tottenham’s wage bill and create space for further squad adjustments.

For Vicario, meanwhile, Juventus could provide the ideal environment to rediscover the form that previously made him one of Italy’s most respected goalkeepers.

The loan structure also protects Juventus, allowing them to assess Vicario before committing permanently. If he performs well in Turin, they can activate the €10m purchase option; otherwise, they can simply send him back to Tottenham.

With his medical reportedly scheduled, Vicario’s Tottenham departure now appears to be entering its final stages.
