Liverpool have officially given Curtis Jones permission to leave after Inter Milan submitted an improved €35 million package for the midfielder.
Inter’s offer includes €30 million upfront, with a further €5 million in performance-related bonuses. Liverpool have accepted the proposal and also secured a 10% sell-on clause.
Jones is now authorised to travel to Milan for his medical ahead of signing a five-year contract with Inter, reportedly worth €3.5 million net per season until 2031.
The 25-year-old is set to leave Liverpool after making 228 senior appearances for his boyhood club. Meanwhile, highly rated academy midfielder Trey Nyoni could be promoted to take over Jones’ squad role rather than Liverpool signing an immediate replacement.
