Liverpool receive Tottenham offer for Cody Gakpo

Liverpool attacker Cody Gakpo’s future at Anfield has become uncertain, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly submitting an offer for the Netherlands international.

According to the report, Liverpool have not yet responded to Tottenham’s proposal because they are still working on strengthening their own attacking options. The Reds are looking at several wingers and appear reluctant to let Gakpo leave until suitable replacements are secured.

Gakpo, 27, has reportedly already spoken with Tottenham and is open to joining the North London club this summer. Spurs see the Dutch forward as a potential addition to their attack, while Liverpool are considering whether his departure would make sense for their squad.

Liverpool are particularly interested in adding more direct, specialist wingers who can beat defenders one-on-one. Names reportedly being monitored include Bradley Barcola, Ibrahim Mbaye and Yankuba Minteh. The departure of Mohamed Salah has also increased the need for Liverpool to strengthen their wide attacking options.

Gakpo has been an important player for Liverpool since joining the club, but the report suggests the Reds could consider selling him if they manage to bring in quality replacements first.

Liverpool have already signed Victor Muñoz from Osasuna and are reportedly looking to add two more wingers before the transfer window closes. Until those moves are completed, Gakpo’s future remains unresolved.

In short: Tottenham have made an offer, Gakpo is reportedly willing to move, but Liverpool have yet to give the green light and appear to be waiting until they secure attacking reinforcements of their own.
