Jones is set to fly out to Italy on Thursday ahead of a medical scheduled for Friday, with confirmation expected to follow soon after.
His exit will sting for Liverpool, especially given how many minutes he clocked up last season. Still, the pace at which the Inter deal came together offers hope that other business could follow suit.
With roughly 10 days left in the window, Liverpool need reinforcements urgently — the squad already looks thin in several areas, and Jones leaving only adds to that pressure.
