Liverpool are preparing to make another move for a winger as the summer transfer window enters its final days, with manager Andoni Iraola keen to strengthen his attacking options.
The Reds are continuing to pursue Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, while Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh has also emerged as a serious target. Liverpool have already seen two bids for Minteh rejected, including a reported £60 million offer, but they are expected to consider a third proposal.
Barcola remains a major target, with Liverpool reportedly hopeful of reaching an agreement this week. However, negotiations with PSG remain complicated by the French club’s high valuation of the winger.
Liverpool’s need for more wide options was highlighted during Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Newcastle. Iraola has already acknowledged that the squad needs reinforcements on the wings, making another attacking addition a key priority before the September 1 deadline.
The Reds have already added Victor Muñoz this summer, but reports indicate the club still wants further attacking reinforcements. With the deadline approaching, Liverpool are expected to intensify negotiations for Barcola and Minteh in the coming days.
