Savinho Nears Tottenham Move as Spurs Close In on Brazilian Winger
The 22-year-old has been the subject of strong exit talk from Manchester City in recent weeks, with Tottenham reported to be closing in on a deal for the Brazilian attacker.
Per Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe, Savinho has already gone through his medical at the North London club, though City and Spurs are yet to make the agreement official, with a few final details still to be ironed out.
The winger is said to want more consistent first-team minutes, something Tottenham could offer as he continues to develop. At 22, he still has plenty of room to grow and could prove a smart addition to the Spurs squad.
It’s been a busy window for Tottenham, who’ve already added quality in midfield and defence, but attack remains an area still needing work. Alongside landing Savinho, bringing in a reliable goalscorer should stay high on the club’s list of priorities. Spurs have also been tied to City forward Omar Marmoush, though whether that deal can be struck remains unclear.
Creativity is exactly what Tottenham’s front line has been missing, and Savinho looks capable of supplying it — both in setting up teammates and chipping in with goals of his own. His numbers back that up: seven goals and 16 assists during his City spell, plus 11 goals and 10 assists in 41 games during his time at Girona. His combination of pace, technique and vision could make him a genuine asset for Spurs if the move goes through.
