‘Sell Him Immediately’ – Liverpool Fans Furious With Player After Nottingham Forest Draw

Liverpool Fans Turn on Jeremie Frimpong After Forest Draw

Liverpool supporters have once again criticised Jeremie Frimpong following the Reds’ frustrating 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Andoni Iraola was unable to secure his first Premier League home victory as Liverpool manager after Dan Ndoye gave Forest an early lead. Alexander Isak later levelled for the hosts before Morgan Gibbs-White restored Forest’s advantage from the penalty spot.

Summer signing Víctor Muñoz eventually rescued Liverpool with a late equaliser, ensuring the Reds avoided defeat.

Despite the comeback, much of the attention from supporters focused on Frimpong, whose performance has reportedly left many fans frustrated for the second consecutive league game.

The Dutch defender was heavily criticised after last weekend’s draw with Newcastle and faced another wave of criticism against Forest. Some supporters questioned his defensive ability and attacking contribution, while others called for Liverpool to bring in another right-back before the transfer window closes.

Frimpong was also involved in the build-up to Liverpool’s disallowed first-half goal, having been judged offside when Florian Wirtz found the net.

The 25-year-old was eventually substituted with around 20 minutes remaining, as Iraola made changes after Forest moved 2-1 ahead.

Frimpong initially arrived from Bayer Leverkusen as the long-term replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Liverpool fans expecting him to fill the void left by the England international.

However, just over a year into his Liverpool career, growing numbers of supporters appear to be questioning whether Frimpong is capable of playing the role expected of him.
