NEWCASTLE DEAL HIJACKED?! Liverpool have entered the race for Lille star Matias Fernandez-Pardo, with the Reds making contact over a potential £60M move.
Newcastle had been pushing hard to sign the 21-year-old Belgian, but Liverpool’s late intervention could completely change the situation.
Fernandez-Pardo impressed last season, registering 8 goals and 7 assists in 41 appearances for Lille. He can operate both as a centre-forward and on the wing.
Liverpool are still looking to strengthen their attack despite closing in on Bradley Barcola, particularly with Cody Gakpo’s future at Anfield increasingly uncertain.
The Reds have also shown interest in Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr, while Fernandez-Pardo has now emerged as another option.
Meanwhile, Harvey Elliott is edging closer to leaving Liverpool, with Valencia negotiating a loan deal. Elliott has reportedly agreed personal terms and talks between the clubs are at an advanced stage. 👀
