Liverpool have made their position clear: Rio Ngumoha is not for sale, despite reported interest from Bayern Munich.
The 18-year-old winger has quickly become one of the most exciting young talents at Anfield after making 29 senior appearances last season, scoring twice and providing an assist.
Reports from The Athletic also indicate that Liverpool were surprised by Bayern’s interest and never received an official approach. The Reds reportedly made it clear that Ngumoha was simply not available.
Liverpool are also understood to be working on a new long-term contract for the youngster, with an agreement reportedly reached in principle earlier this month.
In short: Liverpool want to keep Ngumoha and see him as an important part of the club’s future under Andoni Iraola.
